As a Project Manager at IMAPAC, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of our industry-leading conferences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events that exceed our clients' expectations.

What you can offer us?

  1. Market research - Undertake national and/or global market research to ensure the best quality content, speaker, delegate and target market profile 
  2. Programme development Compile a topical conference programme that exactly meets the needs of the identified target audience with well respected, director level speakers
  3. Marketing - Gain data and understanding of identified primary and secondary markets, be a valuable resource and partner to your marketing team and write benefit-driven marketing copy for your event
  4. Sales and Business Development -
  5. (i) Maximize sponsorship and exhibition revenue on your events and build a strong network and ideas for future events
  6. (ii) Manage sales outlook and forecast of projects
  7. (iii) Take effective measures in a timely manner to improve and increase the sales potential of projects
  8. (iv) Writing a comprehensive business plan to outline strategic objectives and operational strategies
  9. Financial and Productivity Management - Produce cost-effective events of the highest quality to attract sponsorship and delegates thereby maximizing revenue – by deadline and within budget.
  10. Client Relationship Management - Ensure delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors enjoy a memorable, highly positive experience and exceptional service.
  11. Project Management
  12. (i) Oversee all aspects of project management and processes including project establishment, business planning, initiation, execution and closing
  13. (ii) Identify process improvements that enhance production and sales efforts and results.
  14. (iii) Regularly report on project schedules, financial outlook and process statuses.
  15. (iv) Understands and assures quality standards are met on all projects.
  16. (v) Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring terms are favourable and mutually beneficial. 

What do you need to succeed in the role?

  • Proven 5 years and above of experience in project management, preferably in the events or conference industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. 
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Positive attitude, resilience, and a commitment to delivering excellence.

Great to Have 

  • If you have B2B sales experience for about 1 to 2 years at least, if not it is still okay
  • Life science background
